The greatest gift you can give a child is the belief they can succeed, backed by the support to get there.

This scholarship is that support — giving kids access to the speech therapy they need to be heard, understood, and set up to succeed.

You may have questions…

To qualify applicants must:

  • Current or prospective clients of Expansion Speech Therapy
  • Demonstrate need based on income, family circumstances, or unexpected hardship
  • Not currently be receiving full coverage/reimbursement from private insurance, Medicaid, or another funding source
  • Commit to attending sessions regularly and actively participating in the therapy process

Scholarships are awarded quarterly and deadlines are: January 15, April 15, July 15, October 15.

All identifying data is removed from a family’s application and 3 clinicians will review the application. The scoring rubric of the scholarship is as follows:

The amount that each client receives will be determined by need and available funds. There are two award tiers:

  • Full Scholarship: 100% of therapy costs covered
  • Partial Scholarship: 25-75% of therapy cost covered

Yes, if you are receiving partial coverage of your treatment through insurance you can apply to have your out of pocket expenses covered.

All applicants will be contacted once the committee has decided who will receive scholarships. If you receive a scholarship your email will also include:

  • Award Amount
  • Expectations (attendance & participation requirements)
  • An Agreement of Understanding that must be signed and returned before the scholarship goes into effect

Payments will be made directly into the recipients EST account. Payments will not be made directly to a recipient or individual.

Recipients have 6 months from the time of the scholarship being awarded to use it.

Yes recipients can reapply for the scholarship. Please note that attendance and participation in therapy will be considered when reviewing the application of prior recipients.
